The moments where you can really feel the magic and ludicrousness and irony of life, all at once. Where it gets deep. Where all of a sudden you know more, feel more, and maybe even love more than you used to. Someone close and important to me introduced the term “Season of Life” to me a while back. I think I am in The Deep Season now.
On the subject of memory, permanence, and a single perfect moment
I’d argue that conversations about ‘best’ are really rather droll, when you get down to it. What someone considers their ‘favorite’ and why is much more interesting, and more telling. And Abbey Road is my favorite.
